Go buy a bag of sand, take it to your best public land spot, and pound on it for awhile
Hunsucker shares these pictures with us, and some here will never have deer of that size on private land. I enjoy seeing the picture, because I love to deer hunt.
My co-worker sits two offices down from me. John is one nice guy, he hunts in MI on some small private, butmostly public land. He has an great love for hunting. He enjoys the deer he hunts, and shoots, and smiles about every kill. We hunt two differnent area's in MI, yet I have never heard John say one negative thing to me or anybody else about where they hunt. Do you know why?
Because he has classJust like Hunsucker, John has sleeves on all his shirts

It is funny how all people assume hunting on private land is so easy. I've done both, and without
intense management, private land doesn't just yield big bucks. One thing to consider is that there
is usually less pressure on private land. That doesn't mean big bucks are just wandering around.
In fact, just the opposite, there are more places for them to hide and it is easier for them to figure
out where the humans are going. With mid to heavy pressure you sometimes get more
deer movement and can capitalize on morons raising hell in the woods.
People confuse fenced land, game preserves, and full time game management (a staff) with
private land ownership. It's nothing like that and takes an immense amount of work for the average
joe to harvest bigger bucks on his private land than the public land next door.
BTW, awesome buck Hunsucker.

This deer is similar to a mythical beast. pursued by my father, my brother, and me, for the past 20 years. Although we have killed deer in the 150 class, this one was one we often have seen, but never been able tokill. We simply refer to such a monster as BIG LOUIE!!!!!
