I take some jerky, granola bars and bagels. Water and usually a soda (bottle). I think you can eat on stand and if you watch your movement, try to stay alert, and put everything back in your pack when your done, you'll be fine. BTW, bagels IMO are a great food for long hunting days. Lots of carbs, that break down over a period of time, instead of all at once. When you eat something with lots of sugar you get a boost for about half an hour and then you can get very tired.
My father in law used to eat all kinds of junk while on stand. I let him sit the same ridge with me one morning, and I could literally hear him burping and farting from about 100 yards away. Glad that I was upwind.
