Best Broadhead For Longbow
I am going to try to hunt traditional this year and I'm wondering about which way to go on broadheads. The bow that I'll be using is a sequoia longbow #55 @ 28". The arrows I've decided to go with are easton axis st 500 w/hidden inserts. Normally I shoot a Bowtech Allegiance VFT #72 @ 28" and I like the Rage slip cam style broadhead, however I understand that these are not the best set up for my new application. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Don't get ticked off, Billy. Most of these guys on this forum have never shot anything but compounds and really don't have a clue how to answer. The traditional forum is where you need to head with questions about longbows and such.
Now... My personal choices are the Magnus II or Zwickey Eskimo, either glued directly to wood arrows or glued onto screw-in adapters for aluminum or carbon. Even the good ol' Muzzy does a good job with traditional gear, if you'd rather go the replaceable blade route.
And you are correct. You don't want to use mechanical heads with traditional equipment.

You're right, you don't want to use the mechanicals from your longbow.
I shoot wensel woodsmanglue ons on wooden arrows,Bear Razorheads (screw in)on aluminums and now I'm shooting montec g5's off of a bear kodiak mag. 55# with Vapor Carbons. They all have effectively killed deer.
try out the montec's they are great broadheads and would suit your needs.

Thanks alot, and I'm not ticked I was just trying to stir it up a bit. Do you think that the cut on impact (razor blade tip) style is the way to go as opposed to the chisel tip style(Muzzy) given the fact that there is less kinetic energy stored and therefore less chance of a pass through shot?
