My first thought was " I am so glad that you put him down", and it looks as if everyone else had similar thoughts. It sickens me thinking what he went/was going through. Thanks

Should have saved the bullet for the guy who shot the deer. That is just disgusting to think that someone would shoot a deer like that. You are a good man for taking that deer.

Congrats and good job for putting him down. Sad that some people think head shots are OK on deer.[:@] Bow or gun that shot should never be taken.

My feelings, the picture shouldn't even be up on a hunting web site let alone an anti's site. My only hope is that the archer had an errant arrow rather than a deliberate attempt. Kudo's to the guy taking the buck out, it would have been a terrible death otherwise, probably.

I posted this for all the people that think head shots are a good idea. If it changes just one persons mind on the matter it was worth it.

That is just sick to see. I hope it was just an accident to, but I'm glad the guy used a buck tag to spare that poor animal from its misery.

I dont know. From the arrow angle, it looks like the deer was walking away from the archer, and he may have figured the head was the only shot he had at anything vital. I hope he never hunts again. Kudos for putting that buck out of his misery.
