Default Fletching question

Does it make a difference how close a vane is to the nock? Does it make the arrow fly better to be further back or further forward?

Default RE: Fletching question

Just my opinion but the closer to the back of the arrow the Vane is the more stable the flight should be.
As long as you have clearance from your string it's not a problem.
