Matrix deer and high shot?
Most on here have probably seen the Matrix deer clip. Anyways, I was watching it on youtube and it looked as though the shot was too high to begin with. That is not to take away from the reaction by the doe. I posted the link below. Thoughts?

RE: Matrix deer and high shot?
I put my mouse on the sweet spot and left it there. The shot was very high. It still might have been a fatal shot but it was really high. I think it would have hit the shoulder bone dead on. The deer was pretty fast though.

definently looks high to begin with...atleast it was a clean miss...looks like he gave her a hair cut...
i hate to admit it...last year i shot an alert buck...my lighted nock told me i sent it home perfect...till he dropped like a sack of rocks...he took it really high...probably in the back bone...he busted my shaft and took 3 inches with him. a 400yd SPARSE trail of pindrops and a 7 or 8man grid search for most of a day came up fruitless. im sure he lived to see another day. pretty sure he got killed in flintlock season...someone killed a 14" wide high, thick 9pt in the area...that describes him nicely....
i never really knew NOT to shoot an alert deer...he came through chasing does...i stopped him and the second he stopped i let the arrow fly...i should just let him run and hoped he came back...plenty of daylight and i saw the does twice that hunt...
just a lesson we gotta learn...i learned the hard way...
