where do you aim??
last year i made the mistake of aiming too high...i aimed right behind the shoulder at the top or just above the tope of the heart. same deer decided to duck the string and took my arrow super high.
ive read aim for the bottom 1/3 of the body...i always thought right behind the leg was the spot...but then read that the heart is just above the leg and not behind it..and behind it your just clipping the bottom of the lungs...
anyone wanna post some pics with dots marked as their "pin" or whatever?? i can shoot good and accurately...now i just need to figure out exzactly where to put my pin to smoke them and make it happen.
i think i aimed a little higher than i should have to to make up for treestand angle..which still wasnt toooo steep..but i know i was about the top of the heart till he ducked...

RE: where do you aim??
From a tree right where Rybo green dot is.
Asthe deerqrts away I adjust so my exit hole is right behind the opposite front leg. Here is a set m06, I am about 23 ft above from where I will shoot the deer. Why I like to be a tad high.

I dont mean to sound like a prick here but i aim for the whole general area i have painted green! My ideal shot would be be the yellow dot, that is if i was standing broadside on the ground with the deer!
I honestly believe you cannot pick one single spot on a deer to shoot for everytime because 9 times out of 10 the deer will be standing at a different angle, you will be at a different level with the deer,etc....! But that is just my opinion!

RE: where do you aim??
At this deer I am aiming at the red dot. The bones in the leg run roughly where the white outline is. If the deer ducks the shot I am still in the lungs, if not I have the bottom of the lungs and lots of arteries if not the heart.
