We aren't allowed to "bait" here in Illinois.... BUT, we can plant several acres of it.

I use 3-6 gallons a week. If the first 3 gallons is gone in 2 days oh well tough crap for the deer, they just have to wait till next week for more. I dont like turning deer noctournal, especially this early in the season.

I put out 50 pounds a week in 2 different spots all year long (total 100 per week). I wouldn't say it is bait though as I do not hunt near it. I place it where I can see it from the house and watch the deer.

My feeder is on a timer. It's set to go off, right now....at 7:00 AM......and 6:10PM.

I don't get in the habit of letting my deer have their meals when they want them. They have the turkeys to compete with.....so they better get there when the feed is there.
