Yea salt blocks work pretty good. Great for trail cams.

i've had best results w/ a regular 50 pound salt blocks. i've had far worse results when any flavor is added. Not worth buying the $15 dollar block.

Yeah i would have to say they work. I hunt in Western IL. and we have 3 salt block holes that all started off as the size of a large block and now there about the size of the bed of my pickup and about 10 inches deep. Try using rock salt it seems to soak in the ground pretty good.

When I used to put out blocks it was 50 lb. trace mineral blocks. In early spring into late summer they would kill the blocks. Right around start of bowhunting they seem to lose interst.

I had only saw one deer hit mineral while I was on stand bowhunting. Otherwise they walk right by. If I were you I would start your site in late Feb. next year. You won't regret it.

I notice all that posted from IL are new here, and feel no compunction about breaking the law?[]

I put a salt block out about 2 months ago and it still hasn't been touched! I guess it depends what the deer are looking for or if the need that particular mineral.
