Heading to Kodiak, AK
Well boys, I am heading to Kodiak, AK with the family for some fishing. The bow will have to sit for a week or so but I will post some fishing pictures when I get back. This should give me my outdoor 'fix' to last until bow season arrives

Have a great time....I hunted Kodiak for 9 days in 1999. You'll see an amazing amount of wildlife there. Here is a Sitka Blacktail in velvet I took. It doesn't look that impressive, but Sitka's are small, stocky deer with racks much smaller than whitetails.

Be prepared to see some of the most beautiful country you ever will. I went up there back in college on a cruise and did alot of fishing up there. Caught alot of Dolly Vardin & Salmon. Absolutely gorgeous!

Let me know (PM me) where you'll be staying and when you'll be here and who you'll be fishing with. We should get together for a beer while you're here. If you'd come a week later we could've gone after some deer... Aug.1 opener. If you bring the kids over to the aquarium/touch tank, my office is upstairs, drop on in.

Thanks KodiakArcher,
Wish I had checked my post in time to take you up on the offer. PM me if you are ever in Eastern NC! My family visited your aquarium without knowing. The island was pretty and the fishing was awesome (duh!). My wife caught a 25 lb King Salmon.
