For you guys that are buck hunters.....what I would consider a "trophy" hunter, what are your minimum requirements? How many inches of horn does that bad boy gotta have before you shoot it?

Personally, I have no minimum size in inches, he's just got to be a decent 8 point....

I want the buck to be wider than his ears an at least an eight, other than that he better have something out of the norm if he is less than hisears width.

I would like to say I am holding out for something over 130 inches. But if one a little smaller walks by that hassome neat character or if I think he would look good on my wall, my arrow might be on its way. Also might depend on what I see when I check my camera this weekend.

Subject to change at any time.

Im not sayin [8D] But if i was, i would say over 115" or out to the ears. There are some freaky 2.5 year olds that i would consider, mater of fact i have a 2.5 on my wall that has some great bases and alot of trash on them. i thought he would go 3.5 to 4.5 and was surprised when they checked the teeth and said he was 2.5. They were surprised also. So it all depends!!

I live in Iowa so number wise it will be around 160" or just an old sway belly that needs to be out of the herd. Ate my tag last year on this number, hopefully i don't do it again.

Anything that really get's my heart racing I guess. Last year I had one in my sights..but he didn't get close enough..or so I thought (at first I thought he was too far out, then I put my third pin on a lump he walked right in front of,,,i nailed it. I felt a little sick after that, but the way my heart was going I probably would have ended up with a bad shot.)
