9. Don't hunt mornings until very late October.
Why not? I got mine on Oct.1 last year. They are still there.

Oh man, that buck in my AV.. Oct 15th.. 8:30 a.m. Sept and earlly Oct are great times of the year to kill a buck near his bed in a secluded feeding area he feels no one is around or near..

My #1 focus this season is to NOT CUT ANY CORNERS period in regards to all aspects of scouting or hunting whitetails. Take/make the time to do all the little things right.

Secure places to hunt, always a problem anymore, and be more patient on stand. And oh yea, control the erge to spend money on this thing called hunting.

Guys, it's not that the bucks aren't around in the mornings......But the way I see it, it's odds........ODDS are, that time of year, bucks are in the bed early in the morning, especially around here. It's still pretty warm the first part of October around here....

The more I'm in the woods, ODDS are I'm gonna bump/spook the buck into the next county. The less I'm in the woods early the better. That's not to say I won't hunt ANY mornings though.....I do still have a doe to whack ya know....

Besides.......I think someone told me once to do the EXACT opposite of what I have been doing.......that means hunting more evenings than mornings......

That sucks man. sounds like a bit of jerk to me.

My main thing to improve on is not to poop my pants when the big guy shows up and scare all the deer out of the county..

No, but seriously I need to get 1 or 2 more stands and settle down and pay attention to where all the other deer in the area are when there is a shooter in the area.
I am not gonna be so worried about arrowing a big buck this year and take out a few does too. Cause if all I am worried about is a Big buck,,,one will never show up

See more than 2 deer.

Take another one with the bow.

Not shoot whatever steps out first.

Find better hunting land too damnit.
