Default Saw an amazing group of bucks! (And bad news)

We went down to one of the parcels that I hunt. Don't get there often because it's a six hour drive.
We hung a couple of 20 foot ladder stands, cleared lanes, etc.
As we were leaving, in one of the neighboring fields, I seea nice buck, then another, and another...
6 bucks total, all SHOOTERS, I was freakin!
I snapped a pic of one, and they started moving again, over a hill and gone.
This was'nt even the biggest one, but he's a real tall 8/10 point!
Whata beautiful sight.

Now the bad news:
Not ten minutes later, a fawn jumped in front of my car, bounced her head off the bumper and died instantly . She's tiny, and I did keep her. I'm actually thinking about having her mounted somehow? I don't know, but I could'nt just leave her at the side of the road [].

Glad to hear you saw so many nice Bucks on your hunting property....sorry to hear about the little Fawn getting killed!

I would report the accident to the County Sheriff's Dept that you accidently struck a fawn with yourcar and killed it...then get the paper work so you can have it mounted! That would be awesome to have a mount of it.I'm surethat some Taxidermist could mount it....you just might need to get the OK from the Sheriff's Dept or local Game Warden so you don't get in trouble?I know a very good Taxidermist that could probably mount the Fawn and do aexcellent job if you want his phone number #and address just ask!

That's a real tall rack. Maybe you'll get one of them moving through during the rut.

I was out doing some scouting on saturday anda doealmost bounced off the grill of my car. I was really stupid, a smaller doe came running out and I didn't watch for more deer. i was focused on the doe looking to see if it was a small buck.boy those anti lock breaks go crazyon gravel roads.

I saw 57 deer in about an hour and a half. I'm pumped for the season!

It'd be cool to get a doe this year and tie the two(doe and fawn)together in a mount somehow.

It happens all the time, I was comin out of my hunting club 2 weeks ago and saw a dead fawn in the ditch. I have hit two deer in my 10 yrs of driving!happens all the time where you have a large deer population.I have counted 40-something deer feeding along the highway in a 12 mile stretch. I am really surprised it doesn't happen more often, that is whythe state of Florida has such lengthy seasons.
