Default Is this legal?

Check out how redneck this is. This guy is hunting from the top of this thing you can see the camo netting from where he hunts. He is hunting about 20 feet from my property facing my fence. I am standing on a heavily traveled deer path leading to a cornfield. Is this considered hunting from a motor vehicle?

definately redneck! As far as a motor vehicle, I guess that if he can prove it won't start then no, i'd have to say he's good to go. If your worried about him shotting deer on your property, put up a no trespassing sign right in front of him.

Does it have a motor in it? If not, it's just a redneck version of an elevated stand and not a motor vehicle. Recycling as an art form. [8D]

If nobody is behind the wheel when he's hunting from it, the thing probably lives up to the spirit of the law, if not to the letter of the law. It's not something I'd want to trust to the good graces of the game warden who sees it though.

Is he hunting on your property? If not then using old farm equipement like that is a good idea because the deer pay no attention to it because it has become part of the enviroment.Sounds to me like you resent the fact that someone is hunting close to your property line.I know it sucks, but thats the way it is sometimes.

Haha you cant get anymore redneck than that! Thats kinda crazy, you would think he would at least make a stand out of 2x4's or something. Instead he just climbs up an old hunk of junk and hunts. Man I thought I could be lazy sometimes!

The property I hunt has a old rundown school bus on it that was used to haul hogs and all the seats and everything is gone out ofit and if it is raining or anything we go hunt out of it the deer pay no attention to it I have had deer walk within 5 feet of it with me in it and never know It is pretty comfy with some fold out seats in it

I posted 2 no hunting signs directly in front of it. I'm gonna be hunting about 100 yards away from that pile of junk this season. If he cross's my fence it's on.

[/quo te]So by your answer I assume he is not on your property. How do think he feels looking at you while he hunte the same free ranging deer that you are hunting, ever thought about that? Maybe you should seek him out and you two should talk .who knows you may make a new hunting buddy.Seems to me if the two of you are going to be that close maybe you should get to know each other and maybe work something out.You need to try and make something positve out of this instead of confrontational.Thats what I would do anyway.
