Difference between 05-06-07 BT Allegiance
Just wondering what the difference is between a 2005-2006-2007 Bow Tech Allegiance, and if one yars is any better the the others. And also do you guy's think that a 2005 BT Allegiance VFT bow that is in mint condition that has only been shot approx. 100 times and is equipped with winners choice strings, Trophy Ridge guide series drop away rest, Thing stabilizer, True Glo 3 pin sight,Wrist strap, string leaches, limb savers, Ultra nok XL and peep is worth $550. and if so how much would it cost me to change it from a 29" draw to a 28.5" draw and would that also be worth it. Thanks guy's....

2005: Draw length specific cams.
2006: Draw length modular in 1/2" increments w/ fast and smooth options, new limb pockets
2007: Draw length modular in 1/2" increments, newer slimmed down riser, completely redesigned grip area w/ 2 piece sideplate style grip and offset cable groove cam upgrade.
I personally wouldn't pay that much for a 2005 ( that might be obvious ) but the Drop Zone and Wild Thing are worth a good penny on their own, and Winner's Choice rigs are good too. I would always question the person that says their bow was only shot 100 times though.......I can pull that off in one good evening.
Its a good bow, you are gonna drop some coin on a draw length change though because you will need to find the cams you want and then pay a pro-shop premium rates to change them out for you. IMO the 2006 is a better bow and you can probably find one for a similar price if you look.

If you need to change the draw length on the 05 for it to fit then I would pass on it and look for an 06 or 07. I consider the Allegiance to be Bowtechs best bow.

The cams were also redesigned in the '07 model to correct cam lean. I love mine and let my buddy shoot it today. He has a Matthews Switchback XT and had never shot one before and loved it.
You'r emaking a good choice buying a new one and outfitting it with what you want. Even if you paid the $550 you might swap everything out on it and only saving $100 on a used bow. You might be saving less depending on the cam price.

Good Choice going for an 07. I have owned all 3 and the 07 has 2 years worth of improvements on it. The Allegiance has been my hunting bow of choice the past few years and the 07 is the best yet.
