I'm leaning toward the one piece as well. I wish Bowtech made a more stylish one, like the Fuse ones.

All great ideas guys.....What are some of the things we check to make sure are in working order, and good condition?
mobow, you sound like an instructor at some kind of training course.

To answer the question, I'd probably say my marriage, 'cause that's what's going to take the most abuse during deer season.

Seriously, all of my gear isbrand new and never been in the field. Hey, it's my first year.

I'm still looking for a safety harness, a little more camo for layering, and an extra tripod stand (back order).

But my bow rig is ready to go. I could go hunting today. [8D]

New batteries for my camera.

Signed permission slips from all landowners.

Practice and more practice!

To be continued....

This is a good thread. My son will bowhunt for the first time this year. We bought him a HSS vest harness and bought both of us new ones too. Hopefully this weekend we can get them on and try them out and make sure everything is adjusted properly.

I think the other thing on a checklist is practice and not just straight on target, but from an elevated location, different angles, anything to make it realistic.

For gear I need a new backpack, boots, and a few other clothing items.

But the biggest thing I need is not any kind of equiptment. I need to get my arse in shape for my elk hunt in Alberta. I leave Sept 5th, so at least I have2 more weeks than Greg/Mo has!
