new kid on the block
Hello from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada folks, been bowhunting now for four years. I look forward to talking to everyone and picking your brains for info. First question, I shoot PSE Avenger 60 lbs, 245 fps any suggestion on broadheads.

Welcome!! My advise on broadheads would be either Slick Tricks or Silver Flames. I just starting shooting the Flames...they track like darts and are the finest broadhead in the world, imho. I've shot 2 hogs this week and had pass throughs on both. FWIW, I am shooting a 368 gr arrow at 271 fps. Good luck and hope you enjoy your time here.

Welcome to the forums! I know you'll like it here, and you'll learn a lot, just like I have. I can't offer much help in your broadhead selection though. I'll leave that to some of the more experienced folks.

Thanks for the welcome LittleChief, not to worry about the broadheads, we'll talk again another day.
This year will be my first year, and I'm so pumped up, I can barely stand it.

RE: new kid on the block
I have been using thunderheads 100 grain, I shot 1 deer and had ok results. The buck went 75 yards but I was not impressed with the penetration i had. I have since changed bows and arrows so hard to say why I did not get the results I was looking for. My new bow is a PSE Avenger 60 lbs. shoots 245fps so I was looking for opinions on other broadheads as a possiblity. Welcome the world of stick and string hunting, I can almost promise that you won't regret your decission to give it a try. I put down the rifle 5 years ago and haven't looked back!!

Welcome aboard Blue Noser......
I have had great luck with the G5 Montec broad head. I like the cut on contact feature as well as being able to re-sharpen them. They fly good and penetrate very well.
Solid broadhead for sure.
