Thanks BigJ12
I have been doing some reading on that broadhead, I like the idea of a one piece head. Almost got cut pretty bad cleaning a deet when my Thunderhead came apart inside the deer, this would probable explain the poor penetration I had on that shot as well. Also looked at the Tekan mechanical from the same company. Thanks again, and it's good to be onboard and have a place to share some thoughts.

I shoot the Montecs and love them, also, last year i killed my gobbler with a tekan. I like all g5 products, may try the Striker this year. Kyle

Welcome to the forum. You can't go wrong with Muzzy's. Either the old style or the new MX versions. I use the old style in 125 gr and have no problems at high speeds.

Thanks Dave, muzzy is popular and it is a real strong contender if I stay with a fixed blade, but I may be looking mechanical this time. Thanks fo the help

A couple of people have mentioned Slick Trick, so I went and did some looking on the internet and I gotta tell you, these heads look great!!! I like the way they are designed and if they fly as good as everyone says I may become a Slick Trickster!!!!!!

You had mentioned the Tekon. I've read some bad reviews on the Tekon's durability.

If you are goingto get a 2 blade mechanical I'd stay away from those and go with the Rage 2.

Another mechanical to check out is the Piston Point. The benefit of this BH is that while the blades lay backwardat rest and during the shot. They fold forward for removal. This is the only mechanical that I know of that has the best of both worlds so to speak. This feature will come in handy when you shoot one into a target or even if you do not get pass through on a game animal. With all ofthe other rear facing blades you will have to push through the animal or cut the BH out. In addition, in some stated barbed heads are not allowed. Any BH that rear deploys and doesn't fold forward for removal would be considered barbed.

Welcome to the forum's!I use Rocket steelheads and have been very pleased, they are a mechanical head.If I were to use a fixed blade head I would be using either slick tricks or magnus stingers.
