RE: How long do you leave your cams out for??
If it is a new area, around 1 week. established area, 3-4 days. I still like using the 35 mm trailcams so I can only get 24 or 36 pics, which doesn't take very long

I keep mine out almost year round. Move some of them every few weeks or not at all...
Checking depends on the site, some sites get checked every day, every other day, others go weeks w/o getting checked...
It all depends on the site.

5-6 days and I try and get my scouting pics and information done early so i can see whats in that particular area and get out well before hunting season starts and move my cameras on to the next location. My last camera was up for 4 days and I got 938 pics, plus my batteries were dead.
I do leave cameras up for longer periods of time in less traveled areas Im not hunting just for kicks.

It varies considerably for me. I may have some quick sets where I leave it out for 3-7 days just for checking trail use, or some I may leave for up to a month on a mineral lick without checking it. Depends on the situation. On a trail I believe it needs to be there at least 3-5 days, some bucks have routes that may take them that long to get around to it.

Dang..it took me a while but I finally figured out what you were asking. I thought you were taking the cams off your bow and setting them aside for a while. LOL
