Default Hello from MI

Since I am new around here I thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Erik and I live in MI. I am not your ordinary everyday type of individual so be forewarned I spend most of my free time in the outdoors away from people and sometimes I have a hard time comunicating with actual humans. This doesn't mean I don't like humans. I just tend to think of things different than most and sometimes I don't quite know how to express my feelings with words. At any rate I love bowhunting first and foremost. A close second would be fishing for steelhead, and trout, and after that hunting for antler sheds, mushrooms, arrowheads, photography, and just plain being out doors. I am married with two children, a son that is 10, and a daughter that is 13.
I am looking forward to hanging out with you guys, if you don't mind. It's cool to hear from other psycho bowhunters from around the world and see how different, or how alike we all are. So if anyone reads this and wants to tell me about themselves I would love to read it.
Don't have any monster buck pictures still working on that one, but this is a picture of me and my choclate lab after a recent fishing trip to MIs Ausable river.
Happy holidays

Keeper, Welcome to the board. I am also from MI. Where abouts are you from in MI? I am in the U.P., near Sault Ste Marie. Those are some fine looking fish. Makes me want spring to get here fast.
It looks like we share the same interests. I love to bowhunt, fish steelhead with the flyrod, pick Morels, and spend the day in the woods "scouting" every chance I get.
I have only got to fish the AuSable River a few times. Too much great fishing in my neck of the woods to have to travel.
I think you'll like it here. Lots of "phycho" bowhunters on this board.

Ah yes good old Michigan. I spent a number of memorable years there myself. I still have a son in Lansing who loves to stream fish for steelhead and salmon. He too is a bowhunter but a fisherman first. Lot's of outdoor opportunities in Michigan.

Good Luck.

Welcome keeper!

As you can tell from my name I'm a "psycho bowhunter" It's nice to see all the yoopers here! Being from Wisconsin I spend a good deal of time in the u.p. In fact I am currently looking for some land for a cottage north of iron river. I also looked at some on the brule river that is very tempting.

About myself , I'm married with three kids from my current wife , a son 11 , daughter 4 , son 2 and a daughter 20 from my first marriage.
I also interact much better with people who have the same passion for the outdoors as myself. Obviously my number 1 passion is bowhunting , but I love everything from scouting to shed hunting. As for fishing , the only fishing I do these days is salmon fish off the breakwater in two rivers , manitowoc , or sheboygan. It's been awhile since I hit the trout streams up north.

I'm from the farm lands of calhoun county. Someday we hope to own a bit of land in the UP and maybe retire there. My inlaws live up there in a town called hardwood. It's not far from the strugeon river over on the west side.
I hunt mostly down here, but we try and make a couple trips a year up to heaven. Don't see as many deer when we do, but when your surrounded by such beauty who cares!
Glad to meet you guys!
