Pigs tonight Trad or compound?
For tonights hog hunt should I go with trad gear or compound. The temp is upper 80s. Getting in range with the trad is much more challenging in warmer temps. All the sweating makes it easy to get winded. I have double the effective range with the compound and I have not been able to hunt with it for 3 weeks now. I'm leaning towards the compound. What say you?

You gotta get back up on the horse that threw ya. Take the recurve and remember to anchor and execute the shot this time.

Greg, it really doesn't matter to me what you shoot... As long as you invite me to hunt with you.... Far as I'm concerned you can scare them into my direction.

The weather won this round. I took the recurve. I am determined to kill a pig with it. I was at the lease for about 1/2 an hour when a T-storm started brewing. I will hunt in the rain but not a storm. I'm too respectful of lightning to risk sitting in a metal tree stand or walking through a pasture. Besides the pigs stay in tight cover during storms. In a rain shower they really get moving but not thunder.
