One time back in the late 70s I was following my dad home on the turnpike from Pa's buck season, when my truckran out of gas.[:@] We both pulled over and I took out some of my things to transfer to my dad's car. First was my Rem 760 pump 30-06, which I layed on the ground as I grabbed other stuff to transfer.
We go get gas and return. Drive the rest of the way home. While unpacking I realize my 06 isn't anywhere to be seen. I ask pop if he brought it in the house already. He says no! I said "oh God, I must have left it where I ran out of gas"! I drive all the way back up to the spot, but of course it's gone. I had forgotten to put it in the car. What a smacked ass![&o]Sorry, I tried to keep it short.

I lost my cell phone one evening hunt. Now there's prolly some deer making hundreds of calls with it.Also, this year I bought a new headlight and left in in the woods turkey hunting, but i went back a week later and it was still there.
