pneuharth,

Where are you hunting at. I think I am going to hunt in the badlands south of Wall near Interior. I may go up to Isabel and hunt on a friends place too. I hear there are a lot of antelope in the north west again this year, but there seems to be more and more every year in any area that has them.

Thanks guys this is pretty much what i have been expecting water holes, decoys, long shots and lots of patients. mtfreezer yea man u nailed it,that is where i am going to be hunting, between the badlands and Wall, SD. I know there is a lotof animals north and west but that gets to be a long drive and there is a lot more hunting pressure there too. When are u gonna hunt there??

pneuharth,I'm not exactly sure when I will be in that area. I still need to do some more scouting in my home area of Winner in Tripp County. It also depends when my cousin can get off of work. He goes out there every year, so he knows where to hunt in the badlands area. I'd like to go with him. I am really gettingexcited now. I saw a niceone yesterday around the Norris area standing in a corn field.I wish it were August and I had my bow with me. That corn would have madefor nice cover toput a stalk on him.

hey mt I think as of right now we are going out the first weekend in september, I think it will be a little early for the rut but the extra day off of work with the holiday is nice so i think that is our plan. We will have to keep in touch and if for some reason we end up there at the same time we might have to hook up for a day and see if we put a stalk on some.
