I wonder why they didn't just let regular tax paying bowhunter's do it?
We use the same sort of program in VA....you have to be selected (basically by a team captain), go through as many background checks as someone entering the CIA, and qualify with your bow/x-bow and in some areas we can use rifles. And its just volunteer work (but it is work).
Perk is we get to hunt Sept 1 til Mar 31....vension...straight to the food bank. We have to do the processing....which is why its work....
