Who uses/used Magnus broadheads?

Who uses/used Magnus broadheads?
I just bought a dozen brand new goldtip arrows and have always used 100 grain thunderheads. I got the itch to try a new head, so I bought some Magnus Stingers.
When I screw these heads onto my goldtips as tight as I can get them, each head rattles from inside the arrow, like something is loose. No rattle from the thunderheads. Is there another piece these heads need in orderto fit onto carbon shafts? I cant figure out why they rattle, the set screw is tight.
Also, the stingers will not shave the hair off of my arms while the brand new thunderhead blades shave my arm clean. The Magnus feels sharp, but if the thunderheads shaves hair, I know they can be sharper, are they usually this way out of the package or do they require some sharpening?
Thanks!

I have NO idea what would be loose......Are you POSITIVE it's the broadhead and not your insert or something inside the arrow??
I used Magnus last year, and mine were wicked evil sharp...I have not one bad thing to say about them. They leave excellent blood trails, and fly like lazers.....I was hitting a 2" square at 70 yards before season started last year.....Amazing heads....
They are awefully easy to sharpen though.....I'm not sure why yours aren't very sharp, that's one thing I really liked about them, their sharpness. I would maybe contact Magnus and see what they will do for you, their customer service is awesome, and they do have a lifetime warranty that includes sharpening.....See what they have to say....

Yep, positive its the head. I pulled all three heads off the arrows and really cranked down on the set screw. 2 of the 3 heads out of the package rattle when I tap them on my thumb without being on an arrow. The set screws are as tight as can be but still they rattle, the blades seem tight but something is vibrating on them. Strange.

I know, I had the same problem rattle. It must be a four blade Stinger. Steps to fix.
1. Remove the screw.
2. Slide the Main Blade out.
3. Remove the piece of aluminun on top of the bleeder blade (that is what israttling) Leave the bleeder blade there. You have disassembled.
Now the problem is this. See how it came apart. The main blade does not fit tight enough in the groove it slides into. It hasto squeeze moreonthepiece that pushes down onthe bleeder blade. We will fix it. No big deal.
Here is what you do. We are working with the main blade only.
4.Take some needle nose pliers and puta side of the pliars in thein the back of thetear-drop shapedcutouts in the main blade.
5.What you need to do is squeeze or close just a littletheopening that slides over the assembly. This will tighten it up.
6.reassemble and that should do it.
When you slide the main blade back over everything and put the screw back in, it should not rattle. You cantell when yo slide the blade back on if it is tighter. Dont be afraid to squeeze it a little because if you overdo it a touch it will openback up when you slide it back together.
p.s. Should be sharp!

Thank you for all the info markj.
Unfortunately, I dont think one should ever have to do any unexpected work to any product right out of the package unless the packagespecifically states you need to. Looks like a flaw in the Stingers design to me. I think they will be going back to the store and I'll either go back to Theads or try something new.
Thanks for your help however.

Call up their customer service and let them know what's going on. A company like Magnus is very concerned with their quality and they'd definitely want to know about any problems. They will take care of you and make it right, you can be sure of that.

RE: Who uses/used Magnus broadheads?
I sent Magnus an email about a year ago about a couple issues i was having.
Never heard back from them?
So, their CS isn't that great.
Yeah maybe I should've called instead, but if they are going to offer an email address to contact them they should reply to emails as well as phone calls.
Still good broadheads
They could improve their CS
I'll be shooting G5 Montecs this year.
