I figure they don't know any better
And that doesn't bother me.

When I hear the guys on TV do it (re: "horns").....MY take on it is....they KNOW better....but they're playing to a specific audience. I'm not part of that audience.

Guys use lots of specific words....playingto specific audiences.

Doesn't bother or surprise me, consider the source.

So why is it that you "Park" in your "Driveway" and "Drive" on the "parkway"???? Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Its a big Pittsburgh area thing. One of the main roads that travel into the 'Burgh' is called the Parkway. Which during the hours of 6-9am and 3-5pm is just a big parking lot anyway.

One the subject it doesn't really bother me.

I know what you mean. One thing that irritates me is when people, even those that work in the nuclear field pronounce it "nucyalar". There's no "y" in the word.

Just like a pair of pants is one.
A shirt isnot a pair of shirt.
A pair of shoes is 2 shoes.
On the subject of clothing, here's one in lingerie that I've always wondered about: why is "bra" singular while "panties" is plural? I just can't figure that one out.

My thoughts on this matter are, do you seriously believethat most folks who use the term "horns" actually don't know they are called antlers ?!? [&:]

I certainly don't think you deduct points from any thread 'cause someone uses the politically incorrect term... "horns" do ya?

Personally I like when someone says something like "that buck had a lot of horn" and/or "bone".... just sounds cooler to me. [8D]

I guess it's just one more thing for folks to fight and bicker about!
