Default Cobra sidewinder Sur-Loc

I have the sidewinder sur loc and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to quiet this thing down. I have tried the little limb savers and that didnt help much. I took it off my bow and started using my old sight because I couldnt quiet it down. It sounds like a tuning fork. I hate the fact that I dropped $140.00 on a sight that is just sitting on the top of my dresser collecting dust.

Are you leaving the optic cover on? Take it off if so, mine is quite as a mouse pissing on cotton.

My sure-loc isquiet as is. Where/what is the optic cover? Maybe mine is not installed.

Silly question(s): Are your knobs/screws tight? Is the bow tuned/quiet otherwise?

Mine is Quiet! check all screws, etc.

May be the fiber optics in the clear housing. IF that is
the case take off thetop and put something down theside
between the fiber and the inside wall of the clear housing.
Kind of like quieting down a vent in your truck.

But if you have to do that I would take it back or call
COBRA.

Black clip-on that goes over the fiber optic housing. YOu are to use this when using the light. You dont really need it unless you are hunting out of ablind. IMO

What is protecting your fiber optics if you took the cover off, If I took the cover off of mine my fibers would be torn off before I got half way to my stand. I broke off all but one of them last year and that was with the cover on.

I believe the cover he is referring to is the black clip on cover to go over the clear fiber cover. The clear cover stays on all of the time. The black plastic cover just snaps over the clear cover. If your clearcover is showing you do not have this black cover on.

You would know it anyway if you did. Blocks your fiber optic coils.
