    I like buckles. My old velcro release was pretty noisy. It would stick to my face mask, gloves, clothes, etc. I like my buckle.

    I use a belt buckle an always have, velcro makes noise.

    And....How do you know you've got it in exactly the same spot, every time (could change your draw?)?
    The buckle repeats better and less noise on /off.
