how many pins?

RE: how many pins?
4, but that is not an option. I guess I don't count... again
Edit: 30, 40, 50, 60. 60 is just for practice, and I donearly all of my practicing at 50 and 60 yards. Unless it is raining, then I can only get 25 yards in my barn.

RE: how many pins?
I use 1 pin. Pins are just so close together anymore, they all blend into 1 big pin for me and I have a difficult time using the right one. There's just too much stuff going on up there for me to concentrate on.....1 pin just makes it very, very simple.
I do, however, have yardage markers, 7 of them.

I use three.
Top pin for shooting almost straight down.

Interesting.
I have 4 pins on my sight....and I wish it had 5. I like to PRACTICE at the longer distances a lot. I will shoot 80% of my shots at home from 40yds and beyond. I usually start at 40......shoot a few at 50......and then shoot my last few arrows at the shorter distances.

RE: how many pins?
6 pins here. Later in the summer my hunting bow becomes my 3d bow to gear up for the season. 3d courses tend to have at least a few 50-60 yard shots so it's good to have those pins. Also as kshunter said practicing long distances is fun and makes those hunting shots a lot easier. Only the top 3 pins get used for hunting.
