Yep they have started around here i have seen 2 that were preggers a few days ago and now look like a stick. I can only hope 50 % of the fawns make it with the yotes and bobcats round here but the should.

I think most, if not all have dropped here, havn't seen any fawns this year though. I jumped a big ol doe up yesterday in a waist high food plot and I would have put money on the fact that she had a fawn in there with her but I never saw one.

I saw a fawn yesterday. It couldn't have been more than 7 days old. Is it 200 days gestation on a deer? If so, that would put the rut about 2-3 weeks earlier than I thought?

After doing some research, google, it is a 200 day gestation period.

Saw a fawn last week with a doe. Although, I also have does on my trail camera still with huge bellys. Hope to get a fawn picture this week.

One of my students came in last week with a pic of one her dog found ..... they brought the fawn home since the dog scared the mother away ...[X(]

I told them they should have left it where they found it and that mom would return ...... they thought she just abandoned it [X(]

SPCA told them the same thing I did ...they ended up giving it to a deer farm [:@]
