RE: Well, what about this year?
First Good luck Greg hope all goes well..
The first hunting goal is to put my 2 friends and myself on some good Elk. I am taking them on their first elk hunt.
Second I would like to take a Buck on video.
Third I would like to kill at least 2 does with my bow.

RE: Well, what about this year?
My goal at the beginning of the year was a sheep, elk, or moose, but none of the western states seem to want to draw my name for anything this year. I guess I will being trying to put a white-tail in the book for this fall's goal.

I wish everyone all the best!
Especially you Greg. I'm sorry for your lose, and I hope everything works out for you.
Germ, there are some tags available in Colorado-you want to try four states?
For me, The goal has always been to spend quality time in the feild with family and friends. So far, it has been a wonderful 2007. I spent two weeks hunting in New Zealand with a dear friend-he's dying of cancer. I have been present for the collection of 8 turkeys. I helped a 13 year old archer gather his second (Black Hawiian)and third sheep(Texas Dall). He needs a European Mouflon for a completed "Texas Slam".
On the agenda:
My six year old daughter wants to go fishing this Summer... We'll go, and while there, practice with the long gun. She'll be ready for her second deer season.
Mid August, I'll try for a P&Y speed goat (pronghorn antelope)
In September, I am going to assist a retired/disabled police officer (injury in the line of duty) kill a mt. goat. I will be his guide. I also have a mt. goat tag.
I'll be chasing Deer, elk, and bear in Colorado with the bow. I'll kill them if they are good representions of the species.
The month of October:Archery speed goat in Wyoming (first week). I'll be assisting non-resident Colorado elk hunters for weeks two and three. I have ten of them coming in. I'll be archery deer hunting Illinois (pending the tag) the last week of the month.
I'll be bowhunting White-tailed deer inNebraska (with daughter)and South Dakota the first three weeks of November. I'll be in Quebec bow hunting caribou over Thanksgiving (with my younger sister).
I'll finish the year out with an archeryturkey hunt in Kansas and a muzzleloader deer hunt in Iowa (pending tag-I have two preference points).
