What would you rather watch on TV?

RE: What would you rather watch on TV?
The reason you see so many African hunts on TV is because they are WAY easier to produce than a mid-west big-game hunt (fair-chase). First, most of the ranches in Africa are multi-game ranches, that offer a variety of target's to kill per hunt. As I understand it, most of the ranches (regardless of size) are high-fence operations. They hunt waterholes mostly, which are way easier to hunt and film. So - in a nutshell, in a week-long hunt, they can produce several shows, and have lot's of "kill" footage to show the viewer.
With the pressure to produce anywhere between 13 and 26 episodes per year for cable TV - these shows are pretty-much forced to film some "easy" hunts for TV each year. Well - that is because they still believe in the concept of multiple animals "dieing" per show. I'm not into that because it's not realistic to a season of hunting. So-long as people keep watching, they'll remain unchanged.....

north american only... prefer more whitetail, elk, turkey rather than a bear. we as americans want to watch something that appeals to us that we believe "it can happen to me while im hunting in the fall of 2007". I know im not going to see a lion or an elephant with 100 feet tusks walking under my stand and thats why i would preferOURwildlife over any foreign countrys wildlife.
they need a channel for strictly bow hunting north american game .
a channel like, "North American Bow Hunting"
id glue myself to the lazyboy with a 5 gallon jug of sweet tea and a bunch of popcorn if this was a tv station.

Once I see a show where a hunter is chasing an animal I either don't have the chance to hunt or the interest...I usually change the channel.....Of course unless if there isn't any other hunting/outdoor related shows on.

that africa stuff has absolutely zero appeal to me. ZERO. I could watch whitetail hunting (preferrably with a bow) all day long. AND not just the guys who will only kill a huge buck....it impresses me when guys actually shoot a doe once in awhile. Rarely do you see them do that. It's all a dang ego thing

I guess it would be a little bit different if I lived in Africa, but when there isnt a chance on earth of me going over the dark continent to shoot stuff I really dont care to see it on T.V. All I hunt is deer and turkeys, aside from elk and moose all the other animals dont interest me when it comes to the hunting shows.

I said "World Wide" just because I'm sick of watching whitetail and turkey hunting. North America would be my real preference if it was something other than the typical, exotic ranch hunts, whitetails, turkeys or elk.

While I checked the NA box, I do occasionally watch an african hunting show when I find it. Africa does have some appeal to me, although unless I hit the lottery, not enough for me to warrant trying to make a trip across the pond.
