I was checking out an area and spotted this guy, managed to slip in close enough. Actually made the longest shot I've ever made on a big game animal with a bow... 35 long yards[:'(].
He made it to the timber before he went down. For BC bears a 6' bear will produce a 19" skull, I've seen 5'6" bears go 18.5, but we do get some serious meat heads. two years ago my friend took a 6' bear and the skull was 17 3/4 So kinda depends.
The plans for him are sausage and pepperoni. I already have a nice bear rug, I'm holding out for a 7' or a really nice color, blonde or light chocolate before I do another rug. Don't have the room for a full mount.
