Bud, I had the Doskocil for a while and I wasn't a big fan either. Although I felt it was heads and tails better than my first Plano case. I bought a Pro Sport case last summer and I love it, I think it was $99. I know it's a little high in price but it's EXTREMELY comparable to the SKB for a better price. If I can find it online I'll post it.

I have the SKB deluxe bow case, sells for around $100, which I know is more than you want to spend, but it is very high quality and durable, much nicer than any hard case i have had (plano, doskocil, etc.). It has great protective quality in a weather proof material. Very light and compact for transport. You may as well spend a little more on something that is protecting your bow, which is very $$$, in most cases at least 5x the value of the case, 7-8x in my case! just a suggestion. good luck!

Whatever you do I would avoid the SKB Freedom case. The other SKB's are built great but we had to deny shipment on several at the shop because they cracked in shipment. If the case cracks in shipment is it really doing it's job?

If you want a decent case for that much money I don't know what to get unless you want a soft case. I love the primos soft case I have and it's all I ever use for a hunting bow, but a quality hard case is going to run you about $100 at least. I have a vanguard hard case that is build like a tank, better quality latches than the SKB's I feel but they cost some $$$ for sure.
