Default 3D Targets

Currently I have 3 targets I shoot at; first being a dense starofoam Block 4ft by 3ft. for feild tips, second being the block target from cabelas for broad heads and third the 3D Deer target. My question is, do many of you guys have other 3D targets other than deer?..Racoon, hog, coyote, etc? If so whats your favorite? It just seems shooting at 3D targets are more fun than just a circle or diamond...Thanks for your replies

I like the realism of the 3D for the simple reason that you're not ALWAYS aiming at a spot (i.e. scoring ring) on the target. The angledictates the proper shot placement.

Otherwise.....I have no real preference.

I agree, I think i might invest in a hog 3D target since i will do some hog hunting this summer! I like to look at vital shots as well; good point! what type of 3Ds do you have?

I've got one LARGE deer. I also live 2 miles from my bow shop.....with an indoor range of 25 targets.

Turkey, boar hog, bear and deer plus the 4x4 block target. The 3d does give you some challenge of a kill zone especially if you move around for a quartering to and away shots. Just plain more fun too.

I don't personally own them, my club does. But on a weekly basis (or any time I want)I can shoot at Bobcats, wolves, bison, elk, deer, javalena, russian boars, grizzly bear, black bear, polar bear, exotics, turkey, coyote, black panther, whitetail, mule deer, bighorn, mountain goat, etc.

All for a whopping $55/year and 10 hours of work.

I definitely prefer 3dwildlife targetsover anything else, great for HUNTING practice, shooting a dot is boring, but is also a great way to hone your "holding steady" skills. I like being able to say whether I killed the animal or not, assuming good arrow penetration and other ideal variables that go along with shooting in the back yard. Shoot straight and good luck!
