or if the shot travels diagionally through the chrony will also give different readings. I had a range of 5 fps today! Same arrows, same chrony... The difference being, I suppose, the orientation of the arrow path relative to the sensors of the chrony. I had a range of 41 fps with my .204 (but that is shooting at a scorching 4100 fps!!!)

I would like to believe that Hoyt list achievable lower end speeds so it won't have to contend with the unhappy customer that couldn't make his bow shoot the advertised IBO..
Unlike another popular manufacturer that has become infamous with listing their higher end speeds as the actual IBO when most bows shipped couldn't pull it off. I've heard they've calmed down recently, but at the same time their draw lengths grew to compensate for the lacking IBO numbers.
