I just read an article in a Bugle issue about how to quiet down your compound bow. The author made the statement that he thought a bow was noisier from a treestand than on the ground!
So I ask yous guys who treestand a lot . . . can this be true? And why?

i do not see any reason why a bow would be louder just because its 15-25 foot higher...ive never noticed any difference in noise from my stand..i practice from it occassionally as well

its not that it is louder maybe he feels the noise will carry further because of less things in the way for sound to travel ?

I treestand hunt elks. So far, all my shots are from 5 - 25 yards. None heard my bow gone off.

Definatley true from a physics standpoint , but relative to the initial sound.
