Best thing to do is just ask, politely.
If they say no, it doesn't mean they're anti-hunting or don't like you. Maybe they're just planning on hunting it themselves or they have promised to friends or relatives.
Also some people might say no because they're concerned about the potential liability.
Just keep in mind that it likely ain't personal and just ask until somebody says ok. Also plan on a response if they suggest you pay. It's their land and they do have a right to ask for money.
