I think, I will take 3 does and one buck. I can legally get 3 does and 2 bucks but probably not kill a second buck unless he is a real wall hanger. Our buck to doe ratio is rediculous.

tx....I'm optimistic I'll take a buck, too.....but it'll be a secondary target opportunity if I do. I'm actually targeting EVERY doe without a fawn in tow......EVERY hunt.
For you guys that know me.....I know you won't take this the wrong way.....but I hope I don't get burned out skinning deer, this year. The reason I say that is.....I know guys who won't kill a deer, sometimes....because they dread the process afterwards. I see it as part of the hunt.....but I've never done a whole lot of it in a season (obviously).
If I can get my son REALLY enthusiastic ......I'd let him take 'em all. I'd like to get him doing his own butchering (quartering) too. I think I'm going to hunt less.....but take MORE deer.

On my lease I can only kill does during bow season, ( Oct.). A buck can be taken Anytime during bow or general season. Oct- early Jan. So I can concentrate on does early and then get ready for a buckduring the rut although I will be ready for him at any time.

I said 10 or more and that is an optimistic predictions but its also realistic. Thispast falli took 6 deer - 3 bucks and 3 mature does. I spent a LOT of time behind the camera and only took a doe when i needed it. This year i will be working on thinning the doe population and will be hunting even more then i did last year.
