My turkey season...I'm excited by a "crossdresser"
Only 4 birds came into view, Saturday.....in 6 hours inside the blind. I've been going at it hard.....and the only bright spot, Saturday, was a bearded hen that came by at about 70 yds. No dice on her coming in, though.
Still going.................and going.........and going...........
Still going.................and going.........and going...........

Thanks, Brknarrow. I'll be back after them, this evening.
PT....Our son's baseball team had an unscheduled AM practice on Saturday. Lisa had to stay home and take him. She's going with me, this coming Saturday......unless I tag a bird between now and then. I've already said to myself......if I get ONE....I'm done. I love turkey hunting......but I'm tired.

thats turkey hunting...it'll wear ya down quick..
one season i was hunting a big boss tom...i wanted him more than anything...
at the time i was in my senior year of highschool and working TWO jobs. school started at 8am...id hunt till about 730...goto school all dirty and wet in camos till 11..work job 1 from 12-5..head STRAIGHT to job 2 almost every day from 6-10 or 11...sleep from about 1-430 or 5am and do it all again...never killed that bird..i did that dang near EVERY day...when it stormed like a mother the last day i smiled and ran for the truck...went home and finally got to EAT and sleep...i lost alot of weight that spring and dont know how i managed how i did...barely ever ate or slept..
to me, spring turkey hunting is like crack cocaine...i cant get enough...
atleast i got into bowhunting...it holds me over from spring to spring and comes pretty close to turkey hunting for me
