pick a head
I have narrowed my choice in broadheads to
Magnus Stinger/Buzzcuts 100 grains
Steelforce 100 grain
Rocket sidewinder 100 grain
I have shot 2 of the 3 excluding the steelforce
I am shooting a vectrix at 70 lbs and a beman 340(switched from an epic 400)due to the fact the spine was weak on the stingers
The stingers are shooting low 3to 4 inches a slightly right -
The sidewinder destroyed a field point shot arrow of equal weight dead center of the target
No experience with steelforce
I have killed 8 whitetails with rockets in the past
I took 5 whitetails last year with the buzzcuts
Biggest difference was the blood trails and penetration
Stingers- blind man could have followed
Rockets- 4 of the arrows stayed in and 3 were pass through blood trails were ok but had to find where they started - All deer were taken with a 64lb Vtec and 340 bemans
my dilema is I love the stingers but the rockets are flying true with my filed points - bow shoots a perfect hole in paper, is timed, and well tuned
Just looking for opinions and thoughts[/align]

RE: pick a head
ive heard the same thing as mo said...buzzcuts dont leave good trails from what i hear from alot of people...
you got months and months before the season....you got a long while to get your bow and arrows broadhead tuned.
i dont have any expirience with any of the heads...i hear stingers are a dang good head though.

RE: pick a head
I have have not noticed a difference between the blood trails of buzzcutts or regular stingers. They both leave BIG holes and awesome blood.
Shoot whatever you have the most confidence in.
I have not found a broadhead (all things considered) to match them.

For the record, I'd prefer to shoot the Rocket Steelhead of the b-heads mentioned. Unbeatable penetration and accuracy and I swear you could shoot the things through a brickwall if you had to! Good luck and good shootin'
