Black and Gold Skyligh vs Radiant?? Whats the diff
Hey guys,
I am looking at a new sight for my hoyt powertec. I think I am going to go with a black and gold because of the warranty on these birght sights. Anyway if you click on the link it has one called the skylight that I have never heard of....how does it differ from the radiant? Anyone know?
Awhile back I believe it was Washington Hunter that posted pics of how friggan bright these pins were! What model was that?
Thanks
Jim

I'm not sure that there is a difference. Maybe they just changed the name.
The model that WashingtonHunter posted pics of was the "Flashpoint".
I've been considering getting one myself.

neck4752, All I can tell you is I recently bought a new sight and I went with the Radiant. Personally I couldnt not tell a bit of difference between the Radiant and the highest end Black Gold sight other than the plastic cover on the Flashpoint. I asked myself is it really worth 40 more dollars. To me it wasnt so i went with the lower grade. I have also found out that the purple plastic covering on the flashpoint can be ordered to fit the radiant if i want it. Other than that there isnt much noticeable difference than the number of pins they each have. I dont need more than 4 pins so i again went with the Radiant.

MO, you're right. The one thing drawing me to the Flaspoint over the Radiant is that I can get smaller pins with the Flashpoint. However, I do like the photochromatic thing too.

neck4752, If you go to Black Gold's website then click on assesories you can see that the photochromatic kit can be ordered. Then if you go to ordering on thier site and scroll down to accesories you can see that it cost $14.95. The pins are really easy to move. They have numbered lines on your vertical and horizontal axises so you know what your sight is set at.

I use the Skylight and really like it. You can see your pins under moonlight. I have had it on for 3 years with no problems. ofcourse the fiber optics will break if you get a stick or something in them. They are protected pretty well though. That photocromatic thing was made because some were saying the pins were to bright during mid-day. I don't see it that way though.
