Time to cut P&Y and B&C some slack....
I am all for Gross Score as this is what I personally go by when talking whitetail's, this (gross score) is what interests me the most... But....
I think people are to hard on B&C and P&Y over their scoring systems.... It's not perfect, we all know that..... I'm near certain if they knew then what they know now the way we measure whitetail's would be different. This measuring system we use today was based on how they measured horns (not to be confused with antlers) where symmetry was the determining factorof a racks "beauty".
I wouldn't think they expected so much controversy over a whitetail's score let aloneto have a lot of whitetail hunting to be the commercialized extravaganza that it is today where sponsorship dollars are based on B&C / P&Yinches...... They were just small time club's that wanted to pay respect for the outstanding animals and in return they ae bashed constantlywith peoplenit picking their rules....
Irespect both of the clubs and I appreciate their record keeping systemsand will continue to support P&Y and B&C.
Like I said we all know they aren't perfect but you cannot please every one either.
So please tell me, what is their to hate????

No system is perfect and ever will be. I totally support both clubs and scoring systems. Like many though, I do enjoy knowing the gross score.
I don't understand why some don't like counting inside spread. Personally I love to see the big wide bucks.

I think waaaayyyy to many folks put far to much stock in both Clubs and scores and not enough attention to the fact that both Clubs are actually leading conservation orgs.
