PJ, It was the browtines that got me. I just started hunting 3 yrs ago. I am not a very good judge yet of antler size.( getting better) I almost passed him because I didnt realize his size. I saw the brow tines and I decided to take him. Im glad I did!

Nice buck. Talk your wife into a more hunter-friendly wall color. But it is a nice deer.
Pine slats, tan, or maybe a nice faux finish that looks like leather. That would look good for a backdrop for your deer. Because you will be adding more as time goes on..............right.

Mark, I have that mount on my wall in my bedroom right now. The good thing about being single is I dont have to ask the wife[8D]. I am actually going to start re-doing my den more of an earthy tone. We are supposed to get some nasty weather this weekend so it will be a good time to start. Im just not looking foward to ripping off wallpaper.[:'(]
I guess that mount does kind of represent posturing to a fight. Hence the pissed look, LOL
