RE: We can shoot boars for free
I travel to Tx. & Oklahoma to Bowhunt them in the off season. Great fun & pretty wild at times.
I DO NOT want them in my home state-I will buy the gas & Bowhunt them away.
Fun to Bowhunt but NASTY for the farmers or ranchers.

Well...I haven't heard of the directive to shoot hogs in Indiana, but I will travel anywhere at anytime to hog hunt.
I'll have to check with the DNR boys over in Mongo and see what our Indiana regs are.

Its getting the same way in Wisconsin as well. landowners have permission to shoot on site, if you want to hunt public land or land owned by someone else you need a small game license.

Here in Texas, we can shoot as many as we want. All year around. They are a big problem here. I usually shoot 6 to 10 a year with my bows.

Same deal here in Colorado. There is a list of animals that aren't governed by the Division of Wildlife, and also aren't under the jurisdiction of the Department of Agriculture. As long as you are on lands where hunting is allowed and you aren't trespassing, it is a 24/7 hunting situation. Some of the animals on this list include hogs/pigs, red stags, Barbary sheep, etc.
