What are arrow wraps for?

RE: What are arrow wraps for?
They are mainly for looks, but they do have some practical uses as well. The help vanes stick better and make finding your arrow a little easier. They are easier to see with those bright colors on the end.
Mostly though, they add a personalized touch to your arrows. They look really, really neat. Do you need them? No. But they are nice.

BullRider, I want to know what kind of wraps you are using. The kind I have used in the past were a pain to get off the shaft, all kinds of scraping rubbing trying to get all the adhesive off. Thats why I quit using them. Also that added weight to the back of the arrow doesnthelp at all for FOC.

I use them for ONE reason. The ones I use are white and reflective. It's helped me in a tracking situation. My first deer......I stuck an arrow out of my quiver at theplace I saw my buck first arrowed (he ran out of my set with the arrow in his side). I then placed another arrow at the tree where I shot him......and another on the line I saw him leave.
When Lisa and I returned to begin our tracking job.....it was almost dark. It was helpful to be able to look down the line he'd been on in the DARK and see the reflective ends of my arrows.
They're not JUST for aesthetics.
