RE: Pictures of BIG 8 pointer (on hoof)
Thanks guys for all the replys.
I was joking a little when I called him a "cull" buck. I'd be EXTREMELY proud to have this guy on my wall. BUT if I really practice QDM and he is 4.5 next year and only an 8 pointer maybe he needs "removed" from the herd. Am I wrong? I'm assuming he is 3.5 this year because it would be incredible for a 2.5 year old to have that large of a rack.
I know its hard to judge by a picture, but looks to me he's a little taller and got a hair more mass than the deer knobby posted. I've got a roll of film being developed, maybe I'll get better pictures. I've got other pictures of 1.5 year old twin spike bucks along with young looking (probably 1.5 years old) 6 and 7 pointers. Could he have fathered the spikes and a different buck fathered the others? I know there are countless uncontrollabe factors and deer travel miles and disperse ect. but a 4.5 year old should have more points seems to me. Again please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll try to post my pictures of my little buck in the next day or two.
I don't mean to turn this into a QDM thread, just curious of others opinions.

Nub, yeah that is a monster 8, but still don't know if it has the height to make 170, would be very close though. Here is another 8ptrs from Kansas that might be close, but prolly still won't make it. My buddies father shot a big one a couple years back. It was a 4x5 with the 5 side having a small 5th point, with a 25 1/2 inside spread, good hieght, scored under a little under 160 after deductions. Just showed me first hand how big an 8ptr really has to be to get to 170. I'm sure there are a few out there though.
