Confessions of a Whitetail Addict

RE: Confessions of a Whitetail Addict
12/9, this past year.....
I actually went to my company Christmas party (12/8)..........went out with friends, afterwards (Lisa and I).........went back home and had a dip in the hottub.........and made a critical decision...right then and there (it was 2:30 AM) to take a shower and go to my hunting spot. It was either....Get ready and go hunting......OR.....stay home...sleep....and not go hunting.
Lisa waited on me......then drove me up the road.......where I rolled out of the back of the Yukon and hiked in to my spot. It was 3:30AM.......14 degrees......and I settled in for a nap.
It turned out GREAT. I shot my best buck, to date on that morning.

This has been one of the more entertaining threads.
I've done all the usual stuff, drive real far ro only hunt a little bit.
Showed up to a dek hockey game with deer blood all over my shin pads.
I used to bow hunta short walk frommy dorm in college, I had to call my track coach to use his truck when I got one.
I've went out for a hunt only being able to get there for the last 20 minutes. And one time killed a doe only 10 minutes after arriving.
