What I did with mine was just get her out there seeing deer, and lots of them. As soon as she had a fairly close encounter with one she was hooked, I took her bowhunting off the ground and had several does and young ones within 10 yards or so.After going with me on a succesful two days of gun hunting she was wanting to field dress the 160 class 11 pointer I got. The key to it is treat it like your taking a young kid out in the woods. You have to keep them entertained and be patient with them.

Get her a bow of her own and get her shooting!
My girlfriend is an offshore charter captain, and life long duck hunter. So getting her to convert to a bow wasn't too tough. I got her a bright girly blue Parker Challenger on e-bay for $75, and now just picked her up a Traditional recurve. We shoot together everyday. Piece of cake!

I didn't read all the posts to this thread (my bad) but figured it didn't matter as I was going to share my personal experience.
When my wife and I were dating, she realized what a huntnut I was. So she figured she would like to participate as well. In her brief hunting career, she had decent success with both bow and shotgun on deer.
Where I messed up was not realizing where she was in the "hunter cycle" compared to me. At the time, I was extremely driven and competitive, not a good "phase" to bring a new hunter into the sport (IMO). Too muchemphasis onsuccess and not enough on enjoyment.
Maybe when our children are raised she might want to rejoin me.
