How on earth are you breaking the pins? I had the Sidewinder LX sight forever and never broke a pin.
I say "had" because I replaced it with the Cobra Sidewinder Sure-Loc sight.....because of the "upgraded" micro adjustments the newer model has. The dovetail slide is also about 2 inches longer on the sure-loc version.
Never had any pin breakage problems.

take a look at the OPTIX sight by G5. I've had mine a year, and i love it. Its super light, and very durable.
